Hardware Setup
Configure your USB and LAN printers, cash drawers, and test your setup.
Test Print uses your browser's print dialog
Click Test Print, then select your thermal printer. Set paper size to 58mm and margins to minimum.
Garnish Bridge — easiest option (no Java, no certs)
Run our tiny Python script on this machine. It talks to your Windows printer driver directly — silent printing + automatic drawer kick.
1. Install Python 3.8+ from python.org (tick "Add to PATH")
2. In Command Prompt: pip install pywin32
3. Open scripts/garnish_bridge.py in the project, set PRINTER_NAME to your printer, run it
4. Click "Check Again" — it should turn green
QZ Tray — recommended for cash drawer
Install QZ Tray (free), launch it, then click Connect. This enables automatic drawer kicks and silent receipt printing via your Windows printer driver.
Web USB not supported
Use Chrome or Edge to connect a USB printer for cash drawer control.
